How to use the Curtidos Cabezas button covering kit?
Using the Curtidos Cabezas button covering kit is very easy to use, just follow these steps:
- Choose the material you want to cover the button with. It can be a plain fabric, a printed fabric, cotton, silk or leather.
- Cut out a circle of fabric with a diameter slightly larger than the die. You can use a template or compass to make this easier.
- Place the front plate of the button on the die, with the concave side facing up.
- Place the fabric over the sheet metal, right side down. Adjust the fabric around the sheet metal and trim off excess if necessary.
- Now place the back plate of the button on the fabric, with the convex side facing down. Make sure it matches the type of front plate (buttonhole or flat).
- Place the assembly on the riveting machine, fitting the die into the corresponding hole.
- Press the lever of the machine firmly until you hear a click. This means that the plates have joined together and have secured the fabric.
- Remove the covered button from the die and check that it is well made. If you don't like the result, you can carefully undo it and try again.
