Tanning leather is one of the oldest known processes.
Our ancestors learned to reuse the skin of the animals they hunted for food, making shoes, coats... It is known that one of the first tanning techniques was OIL TANNING, followed by others: vegetable tanning, chrome tanning, mixed tanning...
Turning raw hide into a material that can be used to make shoes, coats, bags... is the process known as TANNING.
Knowing the right type of leather for making a bag, wallet, belt, or other craft projects is essential for achieving the best finish.
